  • Kenzie began her dance training at RSI Danceworks at the age of three. During her early training she took classes in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Lyrical. Kenzie progressed through the grades of ballet and jazz taking her exams with The British Association of Teachers of Dancing, achieving high level recognition. She competed with her fellow competitive dancers all over the maritimes at dance competitions such as Dance Quest, Instep, Limelight, 5,6,7,8 and The BATD Festival of Dance. Kenzie has attended numerous competitive dance workshops taught by visiting choreographers to expose her to as many dance styles and techniques as possible. Working with children is a passion of Kenzie’s. Her love formed from being an assistant teacher at RSI Danceworks as part of the Creative Movement program that she now teaches. She is a certified teacher of the Progressing Ballet Technique program and has enjoyed sharing this knowledge with her dancers. Kenzie has been teaching for ten years at RSI Danceworks and has gone on to teach and choreograph at both recreational and competitive levels. Kenzie is excited to explore the new possibilities and opportunities with being one of Owners of KNM Danceworks alongside her sister and mother. Kenzie loves working with children and youth, outside of dance she has worked in childcare and completed her Orientation for Early Learning Centre’s. Kenzie has achieved her diploma in Practical Nursing from NSCC. Kenzie is passionate about sharing her love of dance and creating an inclusive environment for all children.

  • Nancy began her journey as a dancer at the age of five, she studied jazz, tap and ballet, but it was ballet that captured her heart. During her years as a dancer, she progressed through the exams of the N.A.T.D and B.A.T.D, going on to complete her associate level in teaching. Nancy has taught ballet, creative movement, musical theatre productions and created many ballet choreography works for 20 years. She is co-creator and director of “Nutcracker Dreams” RSI Danceworks Annual Nutcracker for our dance school and community. Nancy has directed and choreographed many competitive productions winning multiple awards at various competitions throughout the Maritimes. She has guided many ballet students through their dance exams with the B.A.T.D, many of whom have been invited to Scholarships in Toronto. Nancy obtained her B.F.A from Mount Allison University and her E.C.E Diploma from NSCECE. She has worked as an Early Childhood Educator, Program Coordinator and College Instructor at Jane Norman College. She is currently the Director of Elmwood Child Care Centre (FFL) . Nancy’s goal is to spend time with her amazing daughters while sharing their love of dance, the arts, creating choreography and inspiring dancers to reach for their dreams.

  • Morgan started dancing at the age of 4, at RSI Danceworks in Enfield Nova Scotia. Morgan started competitive at age 6, she trained in many styles of dance such as, ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, modern, musical theatre, African, lyrical and tap. Within all of her training, she is most passionate about contemporary, lyrical, and jazz. Morgan progressed through the grades of ballet and jazz taking her exams with The British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Morgan competed with her fellow dancers at many Dance competitions across the Maritimes. While at competitions she attended many workshops exposing her different ways of teaching and styles over the years. Morgan with her mother (Nancy) and sister (Kenzie) are the owners of KNM Danceworks. Morgan is excited to explore all experiences and outcomes of owning the studio. Giving the dancers every opportunity and knowledge from her years of dance. When Morgan is not at the studio, she is working as a Massage Therapist in Bedford, NS. She has been practicing for 3+ years. She loves to educate and bring her knowledge to the studio and educate dancers on strength, conditioning and stretching. Morgan is excited to share all her knowledge and experience with the dancers and give them a positive and inclusive environment of all students.

  • Morgan MacNeil became immersed in the artistic world of dance at the age of 5 years, at R.S.I. Danceworks in Enfield, Nova Scotia. From the age of 5 to 19, Morgan has trained in numerous styles of dance such as ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, and hip-hop. Although Morgan thoroughly enjoys all styles of dance, her heart lies in the styles of contemporary, lyrical, and jazz.

    During her competitive years of dance, Morgan was fortunate to compete and succeed at numerous provincial, national, and international competitions, and be a member of KARMA Performance Group from its time of inception (2009) until she graduated (2015). Morgan’s dance accomplishments have been recognized through the receipt of countless medals, trophies, top placements, and scholarships, including being named Top Overall 17-Year-Old Dancer at Champions Dance in 2014, First Runner Up Ms. CanDance at CanDance competition in 2015, and Top Professional dancer at Limelight Dance Competition in 2017. Some of Morgan’s most prized dance accomplishments include receiving two invitations to compete in the BATD scholarship competition in Toronto following exemplary performances of her jazz examinations in 2011 and 2012, performing in Walt Disney World in 2011, placing in the top three alongside her dance group at the Dance World Cup competition in Montreal, Quebec, in 2012, taking part in the JUMP Dance Convention in New York City in 2014, and receiving a scholarship to participate in the highly sought-after Paris Dance Tour, which she attended in August 2012.

    Since her own competitive dancing years on the stage, Morgan has been a highly involved dance instructor and choreographer. She has been responsible for teaching children of all ages in various styles of dance. Some of Morgan’s most enjoyable moments as a choreographer include choreographing for R.S.I. Danceworks’ annual Nutcracker Dreams Production, and having her choreography recognized at many competitions as demonstrated by the receipt of the Outstanding Choreography award at Mercy Dance Productions in 2022.

    Outside of the dance world, Morgan works as a registered nurse and is currently in her third year of the PhD in Nursing program at Dalhousie University. Morgan also dedicates her time to creating positive movement experiences for children and adults with varying levels of intellectual disabilities through her role as the Program Leader for the Special Olympics FUNdamentals program in East Hants.

    Although there is no doubt that the adrenalin rush of being recognized and competing in a dance competition is thoroughly enjoyable, Morgan finds forming personal connections with her students, portraying stories through movement, and watching her choreography come to life on stage, the most enjoyable aspects of her past and current life as a dancer and choreographer.

  • Madison Parry was born and raised in East Hants, NS and has spent the majority of her life training in dance. Spending upwards of 6 nights a week in the studio, Madison has trained, competed and travelled showcasing in all genres excelling in Modern, Contemporary and self choreography. 

    She has been fortunate enough to have been awarded many opportunities including training and performing in Greece in July 2018 with the View Dance Challenge as well as competing in Toronto in July 2017's View Dance Challenge National Championships. Madison was named the Senior Powerhouse Soloist at the Fever Dance Championships for two consecutive years with the highest scoring solo of all genres.

    Some of the other most memorable recent highlights include an invitation to the

    BATD ballet program in Toronto, "The One" Orlando Dance Scholarship, Dancerpalooza Convention San Diego Scholarship, View Dance Challenge top 10 judges overall soloist pick, New York "Be Discovered" Scholarship and an invitation to dance in the Macy's Parade, Limelight Top 10 overall soloist, Elite Runner Up Senior Soloist, and Showdown's Runner Up Overall Soloist.

    A fourth year University student at MSVU enrolled in the bachelor of education, Madison has been teaching dance classes and workshops to students of all ages for the past 6 years. She has successfully choreographed award winning pieces for dancers at the recreational and competitive level and looks forward to continuing her passion for dance while helping other dancers succeed.

  • Victoria started dancing at R.S.I Danceworks at the age of 3. She was born and raised in East Hants, NS and has spent most of her time training;

    spending numerous nights a week in the studio working hard and pushing herself.

    Victoria has trained and competed at many competitions as well as show case performances. She excels in many styles but especially Modern, Contemporary and Acro.

    Victoria started dancing competitively at the age of 6 and has been training hard ever since. She started training in Acro when she was only 9 and has worked hard over the past years to improve in Acro and all the other styles she loves.

    Victoria has been able to share her talent by performing with the professional dance company, VOTIVE DANCE in both the 2016/2017 and 2020/2021. She represented R.S.I. Danceworks in many competitions throughout Atlantic Canada receiving numerous high mark trophies and top awards throughout the years. She has also competed in Toronto at View Dance Challenge National Championships in the summer of 2017.

    A first year student at Dalhousie University pursuing a bachelor of science, Victoria has been teaching or assisting dance classes to students of all ages since 2016. Victoria is looking forward to sharing her motivation and love of dance with every student she encounters and to help provide them with proper techniques and skills to succeed.

  • Falling in love with music and movement at an early age, Amanda has since studied a variety of styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, flamenco, salsa, contemporary and modern; working with a range of diverse instructors across Canada and Europe.

    After attending the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts' Teacher Training Program for dance, Amanda has enjoyed 20 years of experience teaching and choreographing for various competitive and intensive dance programs around Nova Scotia. This will be her 17th year working for (the former R.S.I.), now KNM Danceworks Ltd. She has also performed and choreographed with Votive Dance Company, including multiple Halifax Fringe Festivals and full-length show “Shedding Suffixes,” in 2013.

    Amanda continued to pursue her enthusiasm for teaching by receiving a Bachelor of Education from Acadia University in 2010 and currently instructs academics at East Coast Varsity in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. 

  • Emma's journey in dance began at RSI Danceworks, where she dedicated 11 years exploring a diverse range of styles, with a particular passion for jazz and contemporary. Originally from Elmsdale, NS, Emma continued her dance journey while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Science at Acadia University. Recently, she furthered her education by completing a graduate certificate in Oceans Technology at NSCC.

    Throughout her dance career, Emma has showcased her talent at numerous provincial and national competitions. She competed at the View Dance Challenge Nationals in Toronto in 2017 and performed with VOTIVE DANCE, a professional company during the 2016/2017 season.

    Excited to embark on a new chapter with KNM Danceworks, Emma eagerly anticipates sharing her passion for dance and inspiring students in the upcoming dance season.
